Really feeling the lack of adult conversation today, have only talked to xh and xmil briefly when dropping /picking up kids.

Don't reallyhave many friends and they have all gone to concerts today so not even anyone to phone
Sad

Did bath work nikkie?
Im tired but know I will be awake for around an hour when i go to bed.

Toothache · 18/06/2006 23:30

XH bashing sounds good.... wish it was more hands-on rather than a thread on MN though! Wink

Toothache · 18/06/2006 23:31

I'm drinking. Have done every night since the assault, except one when I fell asleep on the sofa at 9.30pm. Not doing me any good, but I just can't sleep in 'our' bed otherwise. Sad

nikkie · 18/06/2006 23:33

Nope still wide awake!
Been like this for a week now get tired around 2-3 am and awake at 5am, even after working full time this week (overtime)

I've got past the wanting to actual physical bashing of xh but will never forgive him for what happened between us.

I very rarely drink so im ok! Last drink i had was new years eve and that was only a mini bottle of archers.lol!

Toothache · 18/06/2006 23:36

dd is sick just now too. Got a fever today, no other symptoms. But she's waking every half hour and crying, then just going back to sleep. Thats putting me off going to bed too, I'll just be woken up again!

My Dad is picking me up tomorrow morning with the kids at 7.40am.... he'll no doubt comment on the fact I smell of booze!

tortoise · 18/06/2006 23:38

Its not nice when kids are sick.
Just read bit you put on spirtuality thread, sent shivers down my spine! lol!
Im 28 too btw!

tortoise · 18/06/2006 23:38

Are your family helpful?

Toothache · 18/06/2006 23:41

Tortoise - sends shivers down my spine too!!!
My Dad is a bit of bastard TBH. Posted on here a few times about him. He's beat my Mum a few times when I was young, so his first reaction was horror at the fact I'd had him charged....afterall I MUST have done something to deserve it! So on the opposite end I've got my Mum man-bashing! Saying well done. They are both helping with the nursery runs as its £12 in a taxi for me as I don't drive. H and both didn't drive, he passed his test first and I bought a car... which he has!!!

nikkie · 18/06/2006 23:45

Both mine were coughing last week so that kept me awake too!
I'm 27

OP posts:
tortoise · 18/06/2006 23:45

I cant drive either.Cant afford to learn!
Shockat your dad.Least they help out with nursery runs.
My mum,dad and 2 brothers moved to Turkey last oct.Have a sister near by but we dont really get on.Apart from that i have no one.
Have made a few 'friends' through a parenting group.

nikkie · 18/06/2006 23:56

My parents are brilliant, they have the kids when I work, or if I ever go out (very rarely) I also borrow their car to get to wrok ifI can't get a lift.
Just my mam can't understand why I don't want to spend all my time with her.
