So sad for my son

My son last saw his dad 6 weeks ago. Two weeks ago he asked if he could see him in three weeks but i said we were away for 2 weeks and he could either see him before or after. He didn't want to do before and has made no arrangements for the holidays despite me asking twice. He doesn't work so no problems there.

He is supposed to ring weekly but no contact for the last 2 Sundays. He took me to a mediator last November and insisted that he saw him monthly. He has seen him four times. One weekend visit was cut short after 12 hours as he had a fight with his girlfriend.

I just think this man is such an idiot and is missing out on a lovely boy. Anyone else that wants to vent feel free.

I'll vent! I just can't get my head around guys like this. He's his son ffs! How can he not want to be part of his life? My son is with me most of the week, and with his mum the rest. I'd die if I hardly ever saw him. And to have an agreement for contact and not keep it. he should be ashamed of himself! your son must be heartbroken. Your ex is missing out on so much! He needs to wake up and be a real dad instead of being a total bellend! I'd better stop before I wear out my ! key.

He took me to a mediator last November he sounds very controlling - you sounds like a great mum - enjoy your holiday your DS has all he needs in you. Daddoing you sound like a wonderful dad. There are good and bad parents of both sexes. You can't make your ex be a good dad op - daddoing is right, he needs to wake up but only he can do that. I will not even begin to talk about my selfish, entitled ex. My DS does just fine without him in fact he learns great life lessons from my exp's antics, at some point the DC have to know not everyone is a good person.
