Saturday night and in alone

Bit fed up. Foolishly made plans for DS to go to his dads for an extra weekend as I thought I was seeing a friend. That fell through so now sat here with the dog feeling sorry for myself and really selfish for putting a friend before my DS.
Anyone else stuck in tonight?

Oh bloody hell, I don't even know the day anymore. Not quite so bad then if it is a Sunday.

Tomorrow is a bank holiday, sends me all to pot too!

Don't you dare feel selfish, you didn't put a friend before ds, you are allowed a night out, it's just a shame it didn't happen.

I have a 13 yo dd and it is a bloody tricky age. She also has AS so is extra tricky.
I dragged her out of the house for a family BBQ this afternoon. My mum had her for an hour this morning and I went out and had a coffee in a lovely beach cafe, on my own, but it was lovely.

Oooh, puberty with AS, that must be tricky. I have a few years before my DS hits that one (he has HFA) but it already scares me

I am seriously jealous of your time to yourself as I would kill for some proper 'me' time. Ex doesn't see DS at all and when he did there is no way he would have had him so I could go out jesus he wouldn't even have when I needed to prepare for a job interview!

Enjoy your 'me' time and it is in no way selfish to want to go out and see your friends even if it did not quite work out as planned.
