DP has been in my eldest DDs life since she was two - she's now 5.5. DP and I have a 9 month old. Things aren't great so am asking this out of consideration for the future. For those of you whose children have had a relationship with a step parent, what happened when your relationship ended? Was there any contact? DD is used to DP being around and he is very much a father figure, though they do bicker a lot. Just can't imagine how upsetting/confusing it'd be if DP took the younger DD for contact but left the elder one?
