Hi all, (very new to this, just joined a moment ago).
I am seeking help from anyone who may be in the know how.
My predicament is as follows:
I have been working for most of my life (apart from the time of going to school lol). I was in full time employment then until 18 months ago decided to set up my own business.
Left FT Employment (working for someone else) and started out.
It has been great until recently... contracts were not renewed etc (long and political story) and now I find myself claiming Income Support.
I am looking so much harder than I have ever looked into getting back into FT work (It is not easy).
My daughter has been in her nursery since the age of about 11 months and is now nearly 4.
Child tax credit will not support you now that you are out of work?
Working Tax and Child Tax credit provided me some help (when I was working) in order to pay my daughters nursery fees (which are a little over £1,800.00 a month).
In the aim of continuity and the fact that it allows me to go out during the day looking for work and to attend the many many interviews I have been on and continue to go too, I would like to keep my daughter in her nursery but the current fees I would not be able to afford on the IS.
I am down to the last of my savings to pay for her nursery and am now in a panic as I do not know where else to turn for advice or an insight into what can be done.
Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.
many thanks
Molasses
