It's just the little things

That make you really fed up you are on your own. Today I have a toilet with a small leak it oozes out, but that means I have find a plumber. I hate tradesmen I always feel so stupid. I may have two degrees and run a successful idea, but when it comes to DIY I'm clueless.
It is just so unfair that ExH has waltzed off with OW and left me to deal with the leaking toilet. I have already dealt with the blocked and leaking gutter and various other things.

From around the bottom. The soil pipe is hidden in the bottom of the toilet not visible. Means in bolting it from the floor etc.

Sorry, I can't help you with that. Have you tried google? I've managed to fix a lot of things with info from that.

Lonecat, I hope you have managed to sort your leak. Just wanted to show solidarity, I so understand what you mean. I feel that there is just SO much on my shoulders. There is always something broken to fix in my house, something going wrong... In the last few weeks, on top of having 2 dc's with one virus after another, my fridge has broken down, the boiler has packed up, the car is on the blink and the light bulbs keep going at the most inconvenient times! I'm just so tired... Not helped by just receiving an email from xh that he is going on a nice holiday over Christmas. Obviously with a woman as I know he wouldn't go alone and all his friends are married. I couldn't afford a holiday neither would I have the time (or energy or headspace) to meet anyone.

Sorry, this seems to have turned into my own rant of self pity
