Am I over reacting? What do I do?

Ex has taken it upon himself to write a horror film with DS (15).
A bit of snooping on my part has uncovered that ds is cast as the "murderer" and ex has been sending him literature etc on horror and psychology based stuff for research.

Ex phones daily at the moment and this is all they talk about.

DS seems quite depressed and has taken to his room.

Ex is violent and will only communicate with me via e-mail.

Ds is in his last year of gcse's and just needs to concentrate on that not have his head filled with serial killer nonsence.

What on earth do I do? What would you do? Feel like I need to make this stop but don't know how.

Any advice?

tia, N

Oh Dear . I wouldn't be happy with this at all. I guess if you e mail your ex and express your concerns , he will take no notice.Maybe have a chat with your DS and see if he is happy with it or if he's just going alone with it to appease his dad.

Along not alone

Thanks doinmummy,
I have spoken to ds and explained my concerns. I think he gets it. Hopefully he can just steer conversations away from the topic.
Fingers crossed it will dissipate with time.
Just so sad that Ds has to be more responsible than his Dad.

My ex is a nob too. It's very hard when you feel you're battling against them. It's hard enough bringing children up without idiot fathers making things worse. I hope your son settles down to his studies .

I would seek some confidential, professional guidance as given his age I feel uncomfortable with how this may affect his state of mind and development. I am not sure who best to speak to but someone may come on here and know. Wouldn't he have to be 18 to watch a film like that?
