Ok, i have a 22 month old daughter, aswell as another two older children but they do not have the same dad as my little one.

Anyway today he was supposed to be having her from 11am till 3pm tomorrow when I finish work. He doesnt work you see because he cant keep his gob shut for long enough, doesnt like being told what to do.

So, I drop her off at his house, bear in mind that this guy doesnt even have a penny to his name, he lives with his mate who pays all the bills, and I think the set up is that my ex keeps the house clean in return for staying there, and as he cant even be bothered to claim dole he literally doesnt hae a penny, so if I want him to have our daughter I have to provide everything, the nappies, wipes, milk, food, snacks, the lot.

So, I realise when I get there that he doesnt even have any juice for her, but he says he will give her milk and make her cups of tea in her bottle cos she loves a cup of tea, so I thought to myself fair enough, as long as she gets her fliuds, and so I left.

Driving down the road and I think to myself, no she needs juice, so I call in the local co op and get some juice, and think shall I text him to say I'm coming back? I decided not to because I thought the element of surprise might be best seen as I had suspicions that he does in fact smoke in the house when i have asked him not to....yes he can afford fags?

I arrive at the house......look through the patio doors, there is my daughter in the living room, on her own, door shut and an electric fire on with no fire guard ( which he had previously on numerous occasions assured me that he would not use whilst my daughter was there). No fire guard!!! One of them electric heaters that of you put something near it, it catches fire!! Oh yes, them ones!!

I knocked on the door, there he is, in the kitchen making a cup of tea, I went ballistic at him, saying "how many times have I told you not to use that fire when you have your daughter, could you not have taken her inot the kitchen with you? why lock her in there, if she had been stood near that with her skirt she'd have gone up in flames"....and other comments like that......his response was " she doesnt go anywhere near it"

I then decided that as he has blatantly lied to me over and over about not using the fire, and still went ahead and used it, that he couldnt be trusted to keep her safe, so I told him I was taking her with me, at which point he shouted in my face "f**k off out of my house, shes going nowhere", and grabbed my daughter, who was crying at this point.

I had no choice but to call the police, who were really good, they came rreally quickly and helped me get her out of there and reiterated to him what I had said about the fire, that it needs to have a fireguard and any decent mother would have made the same decision as I did, and that him not having custody means he does not have the right to withhold my daughter from me....yeh, that and the fact that he cant even provide her with a bottle of milk!!

Fuming is not the word!!!!

Funny thing is, he thinks I am in the wrong?? Confused

It amazes me how so many of these men get to have children.

Meh, it amazes me how blatantly sexist people can be.

Look, I know your wanting to have good old moan about shit parenting, coolieo, I'm always up for a good old inter-web-rage but please try and moderate the sexisum. Really I don't see anything to be gained by propagating a stereotype of men being some kind of genetically inferior parents. I wonder if the difference in expectation of patenting based upon gender is in some way self propagating.

I'm sorry if my post has annoyed you, or in some way caused you offence, that was not my intention although I guess reading my message again I can kind of see why someone with a different perspective may not like the way I phrased my initial post. I shall now respectfully do as you requested and 'feck off'.
