H in process of moving out. Was been absent 2 weeks out of every 4 last year due to working away from home etc and out most nights so only saw DD (only child, 8Yrs) for 5 mins in morning or sometimes at weekends. He has now has OW and is leaving. DD picking up on tension - no major rows and I am holding it together (just) but she is always saying how much she misses Daddy. She is going to have to get used to him being around a lot less. I am stay at home mum but also need to get life going again but don't want her to feel abandoned by both of us - suggestions? How did others children of this age in this situation cope?

I think all you can do is be as open and honest as you can without being negative about him. Allow hereto talk about how she is feeling, let her havephotos etc. It is hard. But it is ok to be sad.
