Apprenticeships and Benefits

Does anyone know how apprenticeships affect benefits? I'm looking at going back to work but having had the kids young am qualifed for nothing at thought an apprenticeship would be a good way to gain qualifications while earning. However, at an average of £100 a week I could not support the kids and pay the bills. What benefits would I be entilted to, if any?
Thanks

I think you'd get child tax credits, working tax credits and child benefit so this together with your earnings would mean you managing. If you get child maintenance too all the better.

Good luck and go for it!
