Ok my little boys dad hasnt had any contact for the last 2 weeks after being back in his life for about the last year. This lack of contact over the last 2 weeks is due to me telling him I dont want him coming round the house and we are not an item. Im so bloody angry that hes stopped maintenance payments and all contact with his son. He did agree to see him this sunday but sent a text last night to say hes now working! My little boy was in floods of tears and its just so upsetting. I feel like punching this man in the face

yes, leave him to it. He's trying to get what he wants through your ds. If you give in he'll play this game whenever he wants his own way.

Text him to ask when maintenance will resume or does he prefer you go through the csa to sort it out. And ask when he intends to see ds as ds is upset he cancelled. Don't tell your ds when his dad will come in future. If he doesn't turn up he won't know, and if he does it'll be a lovely surprise for him and you ...

What gillybean said and I'd add what a nasty arse your ex is (sorry for you and your son).

Yeah I agree with that 2.
Mind you the best thing I ever did was go to the CSS a year ago with my xp as he used to with hold maintenance as and when suited him...after 8 years I got so sick of it.

Not CSS....meant CSA! Lol

Having had the chance to think about this one I have come to the decsion that Im going to ignore him and hope he crawls back under his rock. I dont think I can even be bothered texting him to ask about maintenance as thatsopening the door for him to come back . I know the £30 a week was very useful but having to ask him for the money is lowering myself to his level. The Csa have been involved in the past but being honest they have done nothing for me. i still want to punch him in the face for ignoring his son and I have done nothing to stop contact but you reach a point where you have to draw a line and if he cant be bothered supporting or seeing his son then he doesnt deserve our time anyway.

Ignoring him is probably the best idea, but save his texts and any other communications that demonstrate him being a dick, so that when/if he decides to try to paint you as an embittered cow who won't let him see his kids, you have evidence to the contrary.

I would go through the csa to get maintenance for your son. He still has to pay. If you do it this way you won't have to contact him. Good luck x
