....been single since new year,everywhere i look and wherever i go there seems to be happy,lovey dovey couples out with their kids...sure they weren't there before??

Yes they were, but you don't notice them when you're a couple too. But nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors, and what you see is not always how it is.

Being a lone parent takes adjustment, give it time, it's really early days for you..x

went to park today saw two couples arguing and fighting. in a nasty way. in both cases the man was being horrible to the woman....belittling her . and in front of the kids too.....made me feel relieved not to be there any more

it was horible becasue i remembered being there....

but also a sense of relief too that i am not any more

refmum - know how you feel, I get like that too seeing couples and wishing I had someone. But you know being on our own is good too. I got to spend a great day out with my DS, just me and him and it was great not having to share him with anyone else for a day. And you also get the bed to yourself lol :O

I know what you mean. I find Sundays are the worst. Buy I'm sure like most of us you can think that you're better off now than before. I just remind myself of that and everything doesn't seem so bad.

yeah,i am adjusting to my new life and it will take some time.

I do like being single,i just never noticed these couples before! they are everywhere!!must be the weather
