Happy mothers day

i've made myself a cup of tea, had a bath and am about to make a nice breakfast for ds. He's forgotten it's mothers day but he's only 5

Happy mothers day everyone, sorry its been crap for some of you. It's just been like any other day for me. Ds is too young to know what day it is and xh got drunk last night so couldn't make it to see him

My younger sister made mothers day for me - my two are 2.5 are 1 so I wasn't expecting anything! But she managed to explaing to them that it was 'mummys special day' (anyone else subjected to dora the explorer will understand) and the 2 year old has been very sweet :-) She has repeatedly suggested all day that we celebrate by buying sweets/cakes/ice creams/toys etc! Its the thought that counts after all :-)

I was supposed to go out for big family meal but I've got rotten chest infection so been stuck indoors all day instead. Still, had lovely cuddles with my DS, who at 2 years old, presented me with a bouquet of flowers and a card that my mum had organised, so that cheered me up!

He is lovely gettingeasier :) and we're going out tonight so looking forward to that.

I saw my own mum in the end as she came round. I wanted to get her some flowers so I walked to the co-op but they only had really limp pathetic flowers for £10 for a tiny bunch so I walked up to the flower stall in the high street and found a little basket with 3 pots in, with a pink feathery bit sticking out of one which sounds twee but I knew she would love. So I got that and it was only £3 :) and we had a nice chat and she got to see DS too.
