This is my first new year as a lone parent and I am spending it in the house alone - ds asleep upstairs! Changed days, hoping 2011 is a better year! happy new yr to you all when if comes!

Not exactly alone, two DCs still patrolling the living room etc, but feel fairly alone yes.

Another new LP (though only seperated from DP by HMP Norwich but that's a story for another day) only been on my own with 2 DC since 16th Dec and not plucked up courage to post before.

Happy New year - off to bed shortly myself - well, who's here to see if I make it to midnight or not?!

On my own too well, except for 4 DC all up! They love trying to stay awake until midnight.

I am! One boy asleep the other seeing if he cn last it till midnight with a Harry Potter bok and some garlic mushrooms...

Me too, dh works offshore and is away for the third year running and today is my birthday but all 4 dc are awake and ds2 aged 6 weeks is still keeping me up most of the night , so I am not that fussed it's hogmanay, happy new year to you all when it comes

Yep, i'm having first NY as LP too. Not too bad as I was planning to go out but can't plan poorly DC's (asleep) and to be frank, not really that bothered now. Hooray for thread though, not feeling lonely

Me to! DD1 & 2 r in bed DD3 is sat on my lap. Getting a bit bored now might have to get a baileys. Am BF so was going to save it for midnight but might be asleep by then!

I am! two kids upstairs and my Mum was here but was too tired to stay til midnight, recently dumped and a baby due on Monday so cannot get drunk! Not feeling too sorry for myself though because I think if the ex had still been here I would have felt less relaxed perhaps, Happy New Year everyone x

I've just dropped my son off at his dad's house. My daughter is downstairs asleep on the couch, poorly.

I have tried really hard to be in party mode tonight - we have an open invite to a friends house, and we maybe should have gone, I know the kids wanted to, but my dad died two years ago today and since then I have found it impossible to celebrate New Years Eve. Maybe in time.

On my own here, ds asleep finally. And I was snoozing on the sofa till half the neighbours decided to wake me up with their firework! Now am being sucked into tomb raider on the tv. Will probably fall asleep watching that too, dunno why I don't just go to bed instead.
