But managed to pay for 6 months instead of one month by mistake! Could have done without the £70 just before xmas but still, it's done now. Maybe it's fate.
Anyhoo...it's a site for over 40s (I'm 42 next week) because all the other sites were full of men who want size 10 women who can sky dive in the Canadian Rockies at a moment's notice kind of thing. I figured at least more 'mature' men might have calmed down a bit Xmas Grin.
So...watch this space. I'm not even sure I want a relationship but I do miss having 'someone' if that makes sense?

Good luck HWL, keep us posted....have a browse on the Am I too fussy thread, we are dipping our toes in the dating water also.

Just keep your fingers crossed that you don't find your dream date for about 5 and a half months so you get your money's worth! Feel free to join us on the fit and interesting thread too, we have years of experience of internet dating between us (so clearly it works, huh?)

QueenandKingMum · 05/12/2010 19:38

Fingers crossed! Hopefully meant to be! x

QueenofWhatever · 06/12/2010 13:59

So what's the site called?

HappyWithLife · 06/12/2010 14:02

Ahem....mature free and single. Blush

Good luck - would be nice to think men above 40 were more mature but my ex is 45 and thinks he is Peter Pan! Grrr Smile

... meh, I moved out of Never Land a while ago but still feel I have a fair amount of fairy dust in my pockets. Xmas Grin

Well, have exchanged a few e mails with a man on the site. So not my type at all (beard etc) and also 10 years older than me, but nice to talk to. But every time I log on he has just looked at my profile (it tells you who has looked at your profile and what time)...I kid you not, it's sometimes 5 minutes apart! Is that weird? And today (only joined Sunday night) he wanted to meet up to walk the dogs. DD is off sick so had the perfect excuse not to go. I don't want a long drawn out e mail thing but I think I need to chat to someone for a bit longer than 2 days before I meet them. Or am I being old fashioned?

Hi Happy, I would always rather meet someone than endless message, so i chat on the phone and if we get on arrange to meet.

However, if there is anything that puts me off about someone in conversation, I dont meet them. Talk to him on the phone then decide what you think Smile

Happy - he may have you as a favourite - that way on some sites he'd see if you log on and may then look at your profile ... or has your profile up permanently in which case, never mind walking the dogs, I'd walk very fast in the opposite direction!
