I'm training to be a London Blue Badge guide over the next 18 months. This entails learning how to run guided walks, coach tours and private tours of many different visitor attractions in the capital, both in the West End as well as the City of London.

I'd really appreciate your reflections on your visits to London as a tourist with or without children.

Where did you go that you liked and enjoyed?
What sites did you not enjoy and why?
Have you ever used a BB guide and if so what was your experience ?
What areas of London are you most interested in and why?
Anything else!

I'm seeing London through very different eyes despite the fact that I've worked there for nearly 30 years so I'm really keen to hear as many different perspectives as possible.

TIA

Personally I can’t stand anywhere that’s really busy and my favourite thing I did in London was an interactive theatre where we moved around a lot but it was actually The hidden squares, Gardens, tiny churches, off the beaten track stuff that was the real bonus. So even if you are doing a guided tour personally, I would love it if it included something else much quieter and that I wouldn’t have found myself
