O2 to West Wickham after Duran Duran - safety?

Hello, I am visiting the area and need to travel from the O2 to West Wickham after seeing Duran Duran on 31st October. As it will be very late (show probably finishes 10:30pm) and I'll be on my own, any advice on best and safest way to get home?

Worried I might not make the last train from London Bridge, and then would still have to walk 15 mins home from the station. Or, how on earth could I catch an Uber? Any local advice would be very much appreciated as I am quite worried.

What time is your last train from London Bridge? It's only a few stops from North Greenwich to L. Bridge on the Jubilee Line and the suburban trains run quite late, don't they? Am sure I've travelled (not that line) around midnight in the past. It will be busy with people travelling home.

Phone for a taxi to meet you at W. Wickham Station when you're on the train, if you don't want to walk.

The Underground is packed at that time of night and after the 02. We’ve never had a problem with getting a train from Waterloo to Hampshire, they run until about 12:30am usually.

I saw DD this week and you’re in for a fantastic show!

What time is the last train?

You don’t need to worry about the bit inside London but we don’t know how busy your last train is likely to be. I would definitely get a cab to meet you at the station.

Find the time of the last train- maybe leave just before the concert ends to avoid being caught in the rush and waiting for the tube (though they are v efficient)

Personally a 15 min walk from a train in WW wouldn’t worry me at all, but there will be Ubers

As above. Check the last train from LB. Personally I wouldn’t be concerned about a 15 min walk at that time. Depending on exactly where you are going, the roads are quiet but well lit…

Or if you are really anxious, get an uber from N Greenwich.

If for some reason you miss the last train back to WW, like if there’s some mad delays or something, go to east Croydon and get a 194 to West Wickham and pick up your route from there

London Bridge Overground towards East Croydon station and bus or Uber from there. It's on loads of good public transport routes

you should make the last train home fine. I live 10 mins from hayes and often walk by myself after the last train. Unless you are walking along the golf course. Might rethink that.

@Iwouldlikesomecake I meant to mention the 194 too.
Don't worry @Flamingo000 you'll get back ok.

And check where your seat is in relation to the exit to the Tube so you can plan your route out.

Personally I would consider going to Victoria then getting a train to Bromley South and a taxi to West Wickham. The Bromley trains run later, are more reliable, frequent and quicker (17 mins for the fast non stop ones) - they feel much safer late at night as they are busier - the WW trains empty out a lot as many get off at the earlier stops. There are always black cabs waiting outside Bromley station, you wouldn’t have to call one. West Wickham is perfectly safe but can understand your concern walking if you don’t know the area and there won’t be any cabs waiting there.

Did you get home ok?
