Hi,can anyone shed some light on what Edmonton is like these days please? I lived in Hackney and Walthamstow until 2010 and am thinking of moving back to London, that is one of the areas I can afford and has good links for Stansted and Liverpool Street etc
I can’t really afford a 3 bed house so would need 3 bed flat/maisonette with small garden as I have a dog.Im looking at 2 bed houses with living room and dining room so that the living room can double up as bedroom as have 2 dc at uni and want to still have a space for them. There seems to be a lot of that sort of housing around Edmonton but would welcome some thoughts on what it would be like living there,I’m 59 and will be working, probably going to get 2nd dog and have friends in Tottenham area and Islington. It seems a bit soulless there but as I said I moved away 17 years ago.

If it what you can afford around this area, then it is a perfect area for you. If your kids were younger, I'd mention the school aspect. There are great schools in that catchment area.

It has all the things you need plus easy to get to your friends at any time of day. Even an uber on xmas day is reasonable.
