Hi, I’m looking for some ideas on what to do in London for a day with a 18yo boy. Been to London plenty of times so done most of the tourist attractions and museums, so would like to spend a fun day really. Not been in 2-3 years, will arrive in the morning and leave early afternoon. The said teen is not into shopping, or just wondering the streets and not quite sure what he’d like to do….
Thanks!

What is he into?

Depends what he likes to do.
The Sky garden has great views - you can get a free ticket or pay for food, or go up the Shard( not great on a dull, cloudy day).
If he likes thrills then the Thames Rocket speed boat rides might fit the bill.
If you both can face the climb then The Whispering Gallery in St Paul's still entrances or climb all the way up The Monument.
Lots of great climbing walls in London, especially the one at Mile End
Mid/end October a lot of the Christmas Outdoor Ice Rinks open ( permanent indoor Ice rink Queen's)
Zipworld have a big viewing platform and also the world's longest slide at the Helix orbital sculture in the Olympic Park

If you don't mind having your balance meesed with then Twist "Museum" near Regent Street can be fun ( opens 11am)

Gravity Max in Wandsworth have Nitro Karting ( I think it is a half hour experience)

What about a matinee?

Something like operation mincemeat might appeal to an 18 year old (v funny).

Hard to advise without more info.

As others have asked what are his interests?

There is a fast food place on Charing cross Rd called sidequest, it is some sort of gaming place and had set ups.

There are some decent VR experiences.

What about places like Camden Market or Brick Lane etc?

Thank you all so much. We are going next Friday. Most of the things listed we have done but there are some new ideas as well. We might try St Paul’s, I also just suggested Graffiti tunnel at Leake street and that has peeked his interest. we have done a lot of karting, so he would t be too interested in that. ImHe is into gaming and martial arts, he likes travel and sightseeing but also doing things. He’d probably like some of the VR experiences. Not sure if he’d be interested going back to brick lane or Camden market, any market really unless there’s some really good food. He wouldn’t be into theatre if we only have a day. Out of the immersive experiences that I can see on line are there any good ones? Thanks again.🤗
