Opinions about Woodside Park, Barnet

We are new to London and are planning to purchase a flat in North of the city.

We really liked a flat for our budget in Springfield Close, Woodside park, Barnet. It is close to my husband's workplace as well.

However, we have a few concerns:

  1. The property agent mentioned something about it being council estate at some point. Is that going to be a problem for us/kids? We are planning to stay here for next ~10 years at least.
  2. Will the kids be able to get into good schools? We just have a toddler right now, so good primary/secondary schools are important.

In general, is it a good area to live in?

Thank you!

Might be a little late for this, but Woodside Park is a very good area to live in. It’s really green and quiet. The schools are generally very good. The only thing is there isn’t that much to do. It’s kind of sleepy compared to other bits of London
