Children's loos in London

Hi everyone, this is a bit of a strange and very specific recommendation request. Does anyone know of anywhere in London (literally anything, a cafe, museum, park farm, whatever) that has small children's loos, ie the kind you'd get in pre-school/reception where they are made for small people and don't require a child seat?

The reason I'm asking is because my daughter (who will be 4 in August) has had a LONG difficult journey with toileting, and I would like to give her some more practice using a 'little loo' before she starts school in September. She's doing much better at home and out and about but struggles at nursery, so I'm just thinking of more ways to ease her transition to school.

Thank you!

The children’s play park next to Buckingham Palace has small toilets in the play ground and the transport musuem. My daughter loved the fact we could both have a wee at the same time in the family bathroom 😂

John Lewis Brent Cross next to the family room by the cafe. It has an adult toilet, child toilet and baby change, great when you're on your own with a baby and toddler!!

Go on a day trip & visit Gloucester Services. They have family bathrooms for sure. I used them with my DD for a few years.

Hobbledown. It's a bit further out but a great day out besides the toilets!

John Lewis Oxford St (in the baby change area). London Zoo, at least the ones by the restaurant and the minibeast area do.

Oh John Lewis in Stratford has an amazing baby change area now I think about it! I spent hours in there when DS was a baby/toddler (mostly feeding him).

Both the Westfields, there’s a special family loo section.

Most (all?) of the libraries in Southwark do, not sure how universal that is.

UncertainPerson · 05/07/2025 22:48

Many libraries do (in the children’s’ library area).

I don't know specifically in London but Sainsburys family toilets often have one.

The family/ baby area in the main mall is actually even nicer! They do also have twin toilets. It also has a big screen for toddlers

Hampstead heath at the Parliament hill playground and paddling pool.

cardboard33 · 06/07/2025 07:17

Most John Lewis stores seem to have them, the Kingston one is in the children's area rather than the "main" toilets where they have the feeding rooms etc.

Someone also mentioned Westfield Stratford, and the Westfield White City also has an amazing baby/toddler/young child area too with small toilets.
