Food and Drinks on a Saturday night

A group of 4 (all adult women) are off to London at the start of July and are looking for somewhere to go on the Saturday evening. We aren't big on 'pub crawl' so would like somewhere nice we can go, have food but stay for drinks afterwards without feeling like we need to move on and find somewhere else.

Everywhere I seem to find only let's you book the table for 1.5/2 hours, we don't want to be moved on so soon!

Any tips?

Can you book two places? Eg cocktail bar first then dinner place or vice versa? What type of thing are you looking for - a pub that does food or more of a restaurant?

Where abouts?

Something like Market Halls might be good
https://markethalls.co.uk/

or https://mercatometropolitano.com/

We are staying in Westminster so somewhere not too far out would be ideal.

This type of place looks interesting, thank you!

I guess technically we could, I just worry then we are being forced to move on when we might not want too (if you know what I mean) and is just an extra hassle of finding two places that are nearby so we aren't wandering across London. If you can recommend two places that would work and are relatively close to each other then that would be great 😁

We don't have specific ideas on what we want. We are just 4 mums having a weekend away together so want to have a nice (but stress free) time.

Browns on St Martin’s lane.

I would say Brown's on St Martin's Lane is exactly what OP doesn't want, it's heavily geared to pre-theatre crowd and pushing people on. Plus, in my opinion, not great or special food!

Agreed! Especially about the food. Very very average.
