Where to rent a flat in London

Hello, I am looking for recommendations re areas where to rent a flat in London.
I am a 30yo man moving to London by the end of this year for 1.5-2 years as an expat. The office is next to Southwark metro station, I would like to rent a 1 bedroom flat max 30-40mn (ideally less) away from the office by public transport for a max budget of £1800-2000/month all bills included.
Looking for a safe area with grocery shops, bars/restaurants and a park not too far away.
I would appreciate your advices. Thanks!

The area around Canada Water might suit you, it would be a quick hop to Southwark on the Jubilee Line.

Flat share or single?

Hi, thanks for your answer! The flat looks nice indeed, but since I still don’t know exactly when I’m moving to London I haven’t started looking for a flat yet. For now I would like to know which areas I should be looking at.

Balham or Greenwich?

Look at areas with direct rail access to London Bridge, either by overground or tube so East London, South London/Kent. You won't get an inclusive rent so allow a few hundred for utilities, council tax, insurance etc. so rent is £1500 max.

You could get a studio in West hampstead, look at areas on the jubilee line, bermondsey would also be OK.
