London Theatre - Same Seats changing prices

Hi everyone, I’m looking to book a couple of theatre tickets for the family and we are looking at the same show across different dates from November to June. I was just curious because the same seats in the venue change prices depending on the date. It’s an immersive show so I don’t know if that has any impact. By changing price I mean the same seats are top price in June but in November they are a price band below. Just wondered if anyone knew why that might be. Some seats in the venue stay top price so I don’t understand why the other seats would keep changing in price. Thanks in advance.

Lots of tourists in London during June, fewer tourists in November would be my guess.

It's dynamic pricing, to reflect demand. Same as plane tickets.

Yes, some theatres use dynamic pricing now

Thanks everyone for your replies, this makes sense. It’s a shame though as I was hoping ticket price reflected quality of view.
Can anyone advise which option you would usually go for:
A) seats that stay the same top price
B) seats that are top price in more popular months

Thanks again

Check Theatre Monkey for assessments of best/worst seats and view.

With some theatres you can now see the view from specific seats if you click on them

I have found down here that even different days of the week makes a difference - which makes sense as Fri and Sat nights are more ' popular ' for ' going out '

Seatplan is good you can see pics of the view. Also todaytix often do 24hr sales on a specific show.

Look at reviews for the show and what is restricted - I bought end of row restricted view seats for two strangers carry a cake for £15 - they were in no way restricted (for that show) as all the action happens centrally.

Does it open in November? Previews are often cheaper.
