Pitshanger area of Ealing - how safe is it?

Hello,

We are moving to London after spending 5 years abroad and will probably move to Ealing with our two children (5 and 1). We are considering a house in the Pitshanger area. How safe is it? Is it a nice area for small children? … what do you see as the disadvantages of that area?

Thanks for your help.

It’s a lovely area - very family oriented and friendly! A couple of nice independent cafes on the high street and a big park with a playground. At Christmas they have Light up the Lane for the community and in the summer they have Party in the Park. There’s lots of schools in the area so you’ll find lots of children and there are frequent buses that can get you to Ealing Broadway (main shopping area) within 10 minutes! Only disadvantage is that there isn’t a tube station, but as I said you can get to Ealing very quickly!
