I used to commute to London for years but never needed the Victoria line from Victoria but now I do and getting down to the Victoria line platforms is so long, it’s brilliantly quick getting off and up to the mainline station. Does anyone have a quick route down?? There used to be a website with the quick routes it I can’t find it now!

Oh god yes, I go there a lot at the weekend and it's the bane of my life now they've changed it. Would drive me potty on a daily commute.

This Reddit thread has some tips, but I can't really visualise whether any would be helpful.

Just wanted to say I know there is one somewhere. A friend showed me a lift which went straight down from a new entrance to the station more or less to the platform. Sorry I can't be much more informative, but

  • it was near a new entrance to the station
  • the new entrance was in a shopping area in or just off V Street (maybe Cardinal Place? We were on our way from Cardinal somewhere)

So not very specific, except to reassure you that it exists, and is near (one of the) new entrance(s). Maybe ask staff where the lift is that goes straight down to the V line?

Ooh thank you both! I’ll definitely ask about the lift and use my baby as the real reason 😂. We’ve got a lightweight buggy for London now so I take baby and oldest and husband Carrie’s buggy downstairs!
