Luton airport to Farringdon and beyond

I have spent the last little while searching online trying to figure out how to get from A to B in London and I’m finding it terribly confusing (I’ve never been!).

Firstly, is there a website or app where I can put where I’d like to depart from and my destination?

Secondly, we are staying at the Premier Inn in Clerkenwell. I believe the closest tube station is Farringdon. Can anyone explain to me the best way to get there, or point me in the direction of a website that can help plan my journey.

Thanks!

So from Luton airport, you get the new tram (DART) to Luton Airport Parkway station. Then you get the Thameslink direct to Farringdon station, bish bosh.

For journey planning you can use Google Maps or for journeys in London the Transport for London website.

London Transport website - use journey planner www.tfl.gov.uk

Map: learn to use Google Maps. Select starting point, pick "Directions to", select destination. Displays various routes and you can toggle through type of transport, eg driving, public transport, walking.

CityMapper is an easy to use app to get around.

The TFL Go app will sort that for you too.
