Natural history museum - can I go without a ticket?

We were planning to go to the NHM and I just went to their website to check out dinosaurs they have and read that can book free tickets online - but when I clicked on the date (which is tmr) there were none available
Do I cancel our trip now or will we still be able to get in?

Even with a ticket you would expect to queue for about an hour to get in. I wouldn't risk waiting in a queue for that long just on the chance that maybe when you reach the front of the queue they might have the capacity to let you in. It could be a very disappointing day.

Everything needs to be prebooked at the moment. This will remain true for at least the next year.
