Looking for recommendations for things to do (beyond the obvious) and also restaurants that both kids and adults will enjoy. We will be there October half term. Many thanks

What age are the DC, and what sort of things do they (and you) like?

I'd try a trip to the Olympic Park, to go down the slide at ArcelorMittal Orbit, wander through the park and maybe swim in the olympic pool, maybe call in at Westfield.

Thank you! That sounds great! Yes ages would help- they are DS 11 and DS 8

There were a couple of good threads towards the end of Summer

We really fancy the Horrible Histories boat tour.

GorgeousGoldies · 25/09/2021 12:11

We went to the inflatable session at the Olympic swimming pool on the recommendation of a thread on here, as pp said. It was amazing! Got to see the junior GB diving team training too. Thoroughly recommend that.

We also got last minute tickets to a show, unfortunately it was then even more last minute cancelled due to a positive covid test. We’ve done it before though and it’s a good way to end the day.

Oh and a few friends have done the speed boat thrill rides, which they all loved.

fruitypancake · 25/09/2021 13:19

Oh fantastic, thanks all x

Walking over the O2 is good, did it with my teen in the summer.

The Sky Garden at the Walkie talkie building a good indoor option for a couple of hours.

The London Eye and lunch on Southbank.

Borough Market.
