Myself and my DH are thinking of moving from London to Frome by the end of the year with our 18 month old to be nearer grandparents - I am pregnant with my second so feel like I'll need more local support, and would love to put down roots somewhere permanently.
DH is from the area so has a couple of friends from school nearby - I'm not, however (I grew up in Gloucestershire, but even so, most of my friends are now in London).
Although I'm keen to move out of London and my closer to my Mum I'm totally daunted by the thought of not having friends nearby and having to start from scratch. I've only gone from school, to uni to London so never had a situation like it.
I was wondering if anyone had positive stories of doing similar moves and making good local connections? smile Any encouragement would be much appreciated! x
