Bringing up older children in walthamstow

Hi,

I have previously made a post about moving to Walthamstow but would like feedback from parents with first hand experience on raising their children (boys in particular) in Walthamstow.
I am looking to move around the wood street (upper end) however worried that my children may be subjected to things/ behaviour/ language they wouldn't normally if we stayed where we currently are. I know that may come across as snobby but I'd just like to ensure the kids have a good selection of schools (secondary ) and have positive influence. Is there a lot of gang related issues/ violence? Etc For those living in or close to Walthamstow...would you recommend it? Or if not which areas closeby may be more beffiting to raise a family? Any advice is appreciated 🙏

If you wants more suburban feel try the stops on the northeast end of the central line. Much more leafy and sleepy.

Epping, Buckhurst Hill, Wanstead, South Woodford...

Yes I've been looking at renting in South woodford. There are more options for good secondary schools than Walthamstow and overall feels aot safer. I haven't been Wanstead side, are the secondary schools any good? I haven't considered Buckhurst hill either but may be worth a visit
