Has anybody ever been to a London meet up through this site? How was it?

I have but they tend to be organises via the local mumsnet sites - e.g. mine is Merton/Wimbledon.
In general Mumsnet doesn't organise these, and they are closing the local sites now so will be even fewer!

Yes. I'm a veteran of a number of MN London Meet Ups over the last 5 or 6 years. The meet up threads are either started in the Meet Ups topic or in Chat, by MNers - not MNHQ. I've been to many of them, but not all of them, over those years. The ones I've been to are adult only - they're not organised with the view of anyone bringing children with them. I've had a great time and met some really lovely women.

I agree with, Maitre, if you want a local parent/child meet up, then you're probably better off posting on your local board.
