London at 8pm with a 10 year old, things to do?

We'll be arriving in London at about 3ish, we already have something planned which will run up until about 7:30pm.

We'll be in the St Paul's area.

Too early to go back to Hotel at that time so any suggestions?

Walk over Millenium Bridge then stroll along the South Bank up to Waterloo Bridge. Lovely walk with lots going on, buskers, etc.

Alternatively take a number 23 or 15 bus from St Pauls which will go through Fleet Street/Aldwych up to the Strand. You can then cut across to Covent Garden area.

Great ideas, thanks Malmsey. Hopefully the weather will stay nice and we can enjoy the evening sites.
