Hey All,

I'm 32 weeks pregnant and really struggling with being on my own. My partner left when he found out i was pregnant and my family live in the South West. I've been doing pretty well so far but would love to meet other mums/mummies to be.

About me - my name is Holly, I'm 26... I'm a bit of a rockabilly chick and love sewing my own clothes, cupcakes and making things.

I guess ideally i'd like to make friends with people with similar interests - maybe have the odd beach BBQ, go for coffee or a peruse round the shops. Maybe little walks in the park or swimming when the little ones arrive.

Hello - when I wanted to meet up with new mums (my daughter is now much bigger) I really enjoyed going to Cafe Baby run by the NCT. You get to meet up with a really good cross-section of mums and several years on I am still good friends with many of them. Good luck!

Hi Holly, have you tried netmums? They have a local meet-a-mum board. You can post your own mesasage or just message someone who has already posted. It's a really great way to meet other mums!

Thanks very much nettlefairy just started the NCT classes so hopefully I'll meet some lovely mummies from there. I'm going to go to the wednesday morning at the Sanctuary Cafe as that is for mums to be too!

I'm in the same boat and while I have friends in Brighton, I would like to meet other single mums-to-be. I am 33, single and 12 weeks pregnant, into live music, used to travel lots and would love to try a cup-cake! The sanctuary Wed morning thing sounds like it could be a good place to meet people too - it's a nice venue.

hello - by now you've had your baby but thought I'd also mention the wednesday group 10-12 at the annex next to st Michael's church (powis grove). Not sure where abouts you are based but it's really good and lots of funky mums there.
