Hi Mummies,
I'm new to MN and motherhood in general and find it quite lonely at times. Husband is at work, friends are far away and first baby keeps crying - have a need to talk to someone.
Would be nice to know I'm not the only one struggling with motherhood...
Happy to maintain any conversation with anyone as long as it isn't about X-factor or soaps also happy to travel a bit to meet up.
Please get in touch if you feel the same.

Hi Rezimezi, I live in Penge and have 2 lovely DS' who are 8 months old and nearly 5 years old. I'm not so much stuggling with motherhood (I did when DS1 was a baby), but I do need some adult company and get lonely at times. Hope to hear back from you .

Hello I'm in beckenham - about 20 min walk from Penge with a 9.5 month DS. Happy to meet up!

Not an x-factor fan either!

Hiya!

I'm new to MN too and a new Mum to 5 week old Charlie

I feel exactly the same and the first 3 weeks in particular were horrible. Endless screaming and crying but things are gradually improving.

Would love to meet up with you all and have a chat over coffee/tea and cake I'm based in Anerley but am used to travelling with him now!

Hope to hear from you soon

Hi all,

I live in Beckeham and have a 4 month old little boy. It does get a bit lonely as my husband is at work, friends at work also and live other side of London. Would love to meet up with you all for some adult conversation and swap some tips! Hope top hear from you soon!x

Hi Bigger We live up the road and I drive. My youngest son is nearly 9 months old. Would be good to have another little friend for him. Let me know if you fancy meeting up.

Hello Everyone, sorry for the late response, I kept waiting for a while then thought I'll never hear from you...
Still up for a chat, so how about next week?
In Penge (as most of us seem to be in the area). I know only one place there: a pub near Penge West train station, called The Bridge House Tavern - a really nice one with garden. (I also know good cafes at Crystal Palace, but that might be a bit far to some of you. Also open to any suggestions...)
So how about next Tuesday, 1pm?
Let me know.
Cheers,
Rezi(mezi)

Hi!

The Bridge House Tavern sounds good to me.. they're baby friendly during the day right?

I'm afraid I can't do Tues or Wed as it's his 8 week injections. Either Monday or Friday would be best for me as I wouldn't want to cancel if he reacts badly to jabs.

Cheers
Jen

I'm in West Wickham and my parents live in penge so I know it well!

DS2 is 3 weeks old and I'd love to meet some other mums - am struggling a bit at the moment so some adult company would be great!

FuzzyJenLogic · 06/08/2010 12:27

Fab! The more the merrier Smile

Rezimezi · 06/08/2010 15:52

Let's do this coming Monday then. Bridge House Tavern at 1pm. They are child and baby friendly, although I'm not sure if they have proper baby changing facilities... I always find a way to deal with the issue so I don't mid too much, but if anyone worries about this please let me know ASAP, because the next baby friendly place I know is on Crystal Palace triangle.
Check my profile pic to find me and see you all there!
Cheers,
Rezi
