Part-time nanny wanted by three wonderful, active and curious children (girl, 7, boy and girl twins, 3).
Part-time, live-out, position in New Cross (SE14).
Hours and days flexible: could be 3 or 4 days a week, possibly 11-6pm (hours could vary term time/holidays, or on different days of the week) ? negotiable at this stage.
Permanent position, starting in August; preference for applicants willing to commit to 12 months.
Duties include:
? Providing a healthy, stimulating, safe and fun environment for the children.
? Preparing varied and healthy meals (and clearing up the kitchen afterwards)
? Taking the children to school / nursery and other activities (joining in where necessary!)
? Giving age appropriate individual attention to each child (e.g. helping them do a jigsaw, or when learning to read)
? Willingness to play with the children: imaginative play, arts and crafts, board games etc (not just supervising them)
? Keeping the childrens? bedrooms and play areas tidy and safe
? Help with the smooth running of the household, including light housework such as hanging out washing, folding clean laundry, loading and unloading the dishwasher.
? Optional regular babysitting (paid as extra)
We would like someone who:
? Has experience of working in the UK, as a nanny or au pair, or in a nursery, minimum 1 year
? Has a genuine liking for working with children, a kind and gentle personality, a cheerful disposition, and a ?can do? attitude
? Is a confident driver with clean license essential
? Lives locally or has easy public transport to New Cross Gate
? Wants to work part-time (not just until something full time comes along)
? Speaks fluent English (not necessarily native)
? Has checkable references, first aid and CRB check.
We will pay approximately £9- £10 per hour (gross) ? tax and NICs paid. Generous holiday entitlement (6 weeks paid per year, but in the school holidays only). We are friendly and respectful employers, and will aim to ensure you enjoy your job as much as possible.
