Can anyone recommend a gymnastics class in and around St Albans?

DD was 'spotted' at school on Monday by one of the district coaches(apparently she has a natural talent for gymnastics as well as mess-making!) but unfortunately their classes are all on a Saturday and I would rather she went during the week, after school, so we aren't always committed at the weekend to be in St Albans for gym class.

I don't think that there are any classes in St Albans. The two I know of (which both
do competitive gym in addition to 'recreational') are Saadi and Sapphire. Both have good reputations.

Saadi is based in Redbourn - a friend of mine sends her daughter to a Saturday afternoon class, so perhaps that is the one you are aware of.

Sapphire is in Hemel Hempstead at the Sports Centre near the magic roundabout - my girls go there and I'm very pleased with it. There are classes most days (after school and weekends) but as they are very popular, you may need to start with a weekend class which is easier to get a space on, then move to a weekday when spaces come up. If you are already doing classes you get priority on moving ahead of brand new people, if that makes sense. We started on a Sunday and now do a weekday after school.

We do recreational - but at Sapphire it's all going on in the same gym, so you could start with that to see if she likes it and they would select her out again, I would imagine, if she has the aptitude.
