Anyone heard about local wet playgrounds?

I've heard there's a new one near Tredegar House (maybe called splash). I think it's non slip surface with fountains and water jets etc to run through. There's also one somewhere in Caerphilly. I can't find either on the web. I've checked council sites and other what to do with kids sites etc. Can anyone give me any info like a name or address so I could go and visit? Thanks

There is a wet area with fountains that we were at on sunday afternoon at tredegar park (near tredegar house but not part of). It has the entrance opposite the national statistics office if that means anything to you. Not sure about one near caerphilly.

Tredegar Park , which is separate to the House has a wet play area, with foam floors and squirty things and fountains, is good fun.

Its just off the A48 opposite the statistics office (M4 jn 28)

I need better directions to the tredegar park one, please. I need a decent place to stop on teh way to my mums!

SixtyFootDoll · 28/06/2010 22:26

Come off jn 28 of M4
Follow signs for A48 Newport City Centre
You will go down a dual carriageway for about half mile.
Then you come to a roundabout, take your immediate left into the park. Simples.

Excellent, thanks! I figure an hour in there before the 3 hour drive should shut them up for a bit!

toomanylayers · 29/06/2010 20:39

There's also a new one of these at Cyfarthfa Castle in Merthyr

The caerphilly one is in MOrgan Jones Park, which is very near the castle. I think the splashy bit only runs in the summer though (if we get a summer :o)
