Professional Couple in Beaconsfield expecting 1st baby in December seek similar for mutual help, support, advice and alcohol over the coming months/maybe years! He, 40 works in film, DW mid-30s charity Director. In Beaconsfield for 2 years, exiles from Notting Hill and finding the natives here a bit "odd".
Is there anyone out there....???!

Hi Twinkle, I hope you're settling in ok and not surrounded by too many boxes!

I have 2 1/2 yo daughter, and am planning to arrange a meet up in Beaconsfield, so lets go for it - what days are good for you? I'll then post and hopefully others are free to join us too.

We did a couple of terms of Tumble Tots which dd loved, but had to stop as it clashed with her new nursery days. Haven't done Monkey Music, but have friends who recommend.

Let's sort a date, and in the meantime feel free to ask for any info you need.

Hi BucksMumJen,
So good to hear you are keen to fix a meet up!
All but two boxes unpacked so we've made super progress!
We have Tumble Tots on Wed morn, Monkey Music Fri morning so free Mondays, Tuesday and Thursdays are good for catching up.
How about arranging something for next week?
Twinkle :)

Wow, you've done better than us - over 2 years on and we still have a garage full of boxes!

Great, Monday would be best for me, say 10am? Let's hope the weather stays and we could then brave the outdoors! I'll post on Group meet ups once you confirm that works for you, and we can see who else is around Smile

Yes Monday works for us! Oh, and I'm no ocunting the boxes that will now be living in the boxroom until we find somewhere to buy. House hunting at the moment is proving a bit challenging with not much around at all.

Hooray for Monday! Looking forward to meeting some local mums.
x

Hello, I am moving to Beaconsfield after five years abroad (was living in London before that) and keen to meet some other mums. I have two girls, one was two in April, and the other is 4 months. I see some meet ups have been arranged. Are they still going on? If so, when is the next one? We would love to join you! X

MrsRicho · 02/09/2013 21:45

Are you all still there?! Did you survive?! We are moving from Notting Hill to Denham village near Gerrards Cross in September and I am so pleased to hear about other exiles! We are two young boys (4&2) and I am feeling totally unsure about the move, though obv willing to give it a good go.

I'm an American in England for 10 years, just moved to Beaconsfield from Chiswick, West London. There do seem to be quite a few Americans and West Londoners here - just looking for a bit of space and good schools eh? Let me know if anyone wants to meet up for a coffee. Also what baby groups you recommend. I have a 4 yr old and a 1 yr old. Also trying to decide between a place at St Mary's and one offered at Butler's Court. So I am wondering where your kids go or plan to go. x

BucksMumJen · 23/10/2013 12:31

Hi SouthernCali, yes lots of people out here have made the same journey!! Hope you're settling in ok. Have you sorted your child's school place out yet? Beaconsfield is lucky to have great schools - both St Mary's and Butlers are brilliant so am sure you'll make the right decision. For meet ups, you can post above in the meet ups section to arrange something - am sure there are lots of people around who would love to meet for coffee Smile

Hello, we have now been in Beaconsfield for about ten weeks and enjoying it so far. Very happy to meet for a coffee!

JustLikeHerdingCats · 22/01/2014 16:28

Hi all, we moved to Beaconsfield with our 2 boys (aged 3 and 18m) last summer. I grew up in the area but it's very different to be back with little ones, and also very different from our last home in Canary Wharf!

We have settled in pretty well - the boys are enjoying a couple of days each week in nursery (Northgate House) and we have signed up to some good groups too - but I would love to make new local friends with similar aged kids.

Is anyone keen to meet for a coffee one day?

Hello, we are looking to relocate back to the UK from Toronto - any comments on Beaconsfield as a neighbourhood to raise our 11 year old and 8 year old?

Anybody with any comments would be greatly appreciated - i am somewhat hesitant but my husband is all for the move.
