Have 12year old sporty (not particularly academic) DD. Trying to decide between Brighton College and Brighton and Hove High School. Anyone got any recent experience of one or other of the schools - would be interested in your opinion. Thanks

BHHS always was more academic, less sporty, doubt that's changed recently. Though in recent years not as good at science, I've heard from friends whose daughters recently left the sixth form.

Hello - I don't have any personal experience but as have been looking into schools myself I've heard a fair bit on the grapevine and I'd say Brighton College is probably more sporty than BHHS

Brighton college is very academic and pushes the children hard academically from what I have heard. I have a child at the prep school and I wouldn't put a child in that school who was going to struggle academically at all.

I am currently tutoring a girl who has left BHHS as had nothing positive to say about it!
