Hello, my name is Angela, I am 22 years old and 14 weeks pregnant. I am new to Norwich and don't really know many people. I want to find some friendly people to meet up who maybe be in the same situation? I love spending time with my boyfriend but its nice to have some girly time sometimes!! hehe. Does anyone know of any mums to be coffee mornings or something?? I also want to start doing some exercise to keep me health but not too sure what sort of thing to do?! Any ideas??

Hi,

I see you live in Bowthorpe. The people at the SureStart centre are really nice. Antenatal classes take place there and they also run babygroups, toddler groups etc.

The NCT do a few things, but they're mostly mums in their mid-30s with big houses, IYKWIM.

Hi, welcome to MN and Norwich.
Congrats on your lil one, I am due with #2 in November
I've been here for about 4 years and still no real mum friends, the joys of being a school run mum and no driving licence....yet.

You might be able to meet some other mums when or if you are going to sign up for antenatal classes, tho I think you have to ring at about 28 weeks but be fast, I am thinking of doing that.
Or how about some mum to be swimming clubs or something?

Hi Angela,

the thread is quite old, but I thought I'd drop you a line anyway :).
I hope you had a smooth labour and are now enjoying early motherhood?
I'm 22 too and have a 6.5 month old baby boy.
Where abouts in Norwich are you? We are planning to move to Norwich in the summer from North Walsham which is about half an hour out of Norwich.
