Anyone go camping locally?

We have just bought a tent. argh

We're starting to look for places to go - just the odd weekend, and nothing too far ar the moment - thinking loch lomond/stirling/north berwick/ayrshire.

Just wondered if anyone else went camping, and fancied a wee meet-up?

Hi Geordie, she is just over 14 months now... hard to believe really time is just flying by so quickly. Would be great to join you and see how I manage camping with DD.. Is it just one night you are camping for - on the Saturday?

i just took the kids to a wee campsite at luss and it was lovely- lovely clean toilets and power showers lots of room for the kids to run about in, a couple of swings and a wee slide
and if your lucky you can pitch you tent very near the loch.

and you can get public transport there ( train to balloch, bus from balloch to luss, then a short walk) you can also get the bus straight there but thats more expensive
