La Fontana in Canonmills is good - great child size pizzas. Will think of more.

Bar roma - Italian at the West End - child friendly - get off at Haymarket - walk to west end - finish meal then walk up Lothian Road to the Usher Hall. There's a pizza express close by too but not sure if you can book.

Centotre on George Street - slight detour en route to Usher Hall but worth it. Kids menu something like £4.50 and lovely.

Howies on Waterloo Place is very accomodating and excellent food, kids menu or small portions from adult menu. Really close to the steps out of Waverley.

Vittoria on the Bridge, on George IV Bridge, very child friendly and good value for lunch and near festival attractions on the High Street.

Wannaburger is good which is near rutland square. I went there with my son and the did chicken goujons with salad nibbles of peppers cucumber and cherry tomatoes. They also do lovely fresh milkshakes as well.

not centotre...went there a few days ago. Very inflexible on feeding the kids...wouldn't do a child's pizza unless part of the older kids menu at £10 Shock

they ended up sharing my pizza (over £10)

arrived at 11.45 - was informed the kitchen was closed until 12 noon (for setting up service after the breakfast service) so had to wait 15 minutes with hungry children before the chef's would start cooking our order...just pissed me off to be honest

adults main courses cost £16 each (pasta and calamari)

anywhere else Italian would be better or Nandos next to Usher Hall !
