sainsburys haringey with two toddlers

i found out a couple of weeks ago that if you ask at the customer service desk they will give you a 'toddler trolley' ie a trolley with a double seat so you can sit two children in it.

apparently they're not outside with all the other trolleys cos 'they walk'.

a notice saying they're available might be useful!

i post this after months of struggling with a single seat trolley and two children - taking turns, one in trolley trampling shopping etc so hope it's not stating the bleedin' obvious!

I hope that will help someone, my first thought was that's useful but then thinking about it, it's probably easier to make ds1 walk around (he's 3 now). How old are your 2?

mine are 21/2 and 41/2 so both capable of walking (ie running screaming up and down aisles) and 'helping' when i'm feeling like a mumsnet mummy 'lets count five onions and put them in this bag?' but on the grounds that children always want what they can't have it was their hearts desire to both sit in the trolley. and to be fair, they mostly do sit in it and stay put, which makes my life easier.
