Baby groups

Any recommendations for baby groups/breastfeeding groups in N glasgow. I know about the breastfeeding group in Ruchill church, but other than that the list the HV gave me seems to just be toddler groups.

the one in the tearoom at Ruchill church is fab-don't let the location put you off!

Toddler groups are fine for babies too.

There is a nice one at St Silas Church, Park Road, 10am -12pm Monday/Thursday

Also observatory roadTues/Thursday 10am -12pm

logrrl is that the bf support group?

it's not actually a formal BF group (Wednesday 12.30-whenever you get round to leaving but officially 2pm) but is "sold" as such to new Mums by the midwifes who pop in from time to time. There is no BF counsellor or anything-any BF support is from the other Mums.

In the local press it's advertised as a "postnatal group" and there are Mums there who artificially feed as well as BF Mums-there is no formal BF component at all and there is a cafe that sells great homemade cakes for pennies. I made loads of good friends there, who I am still good friends with-infact I think it saved me from PND!

Sounds good! I was asking because apparently the bf support group there is being shut down through lack of funding...
