Nurseries Crouch End/Stroud Green

Hi - does anyone have any experience of Crouch Hill day nursery or the YMCA nursery that's next to St Aiden's school in Stroud Green? We were expecting DS to start at Active Learning in September, but just found out that despiate assurances that they would have places, they don't.

Both the above would have a space for him, but I'm finding it hard to adjust my thinking from Active Learning (which looked amazing). Does anyone have anything positive/ negative to say about the other two? DS will be 1 when he starts nursery.

Thanks!

Hi Heffalump1879

We're now considering both of these nurseries and wonder what your experience has been?

Thanks,

Abi

Sorry for the lateness of the reply - we actually moved abroad at the beginning of the year, so haven't checked mumsnet for a while!

We did put DS into the YMCA nursery and while the staff were on the most part lovely, it wasn't for us. There is no segragation of ages so it was a bit much for my just-about-toddler. However, I can thoroughly recommend Bowlers on Crouch Hill, if it's still helpful. Staff are amazing and the atmosphere v warm and cuddly. Now if only I could find somewhere like it in Dubai...
