I am thinking of putting my child down for Park Hill School by Kingston Gate of richmond Park, does anyone know it and if so any views on it would be hugely apreciated as I'm new to the area and don't know much about it. Thanks!

Hi, my son didn't get a place at a local school so he his down to go to Park Hill. I have been a couple of times and my son went for an afternoon 'meet everyone' session - it is a very nice school.

Both my DCs went to Park Hill from nursery. Loved it. Its a great first school - great for the early years as it is small and friendly. They are both now at local preps - moved at 7 as at this age the small environment is a bit limiting. DS moved at 7 as that is the age most of the boys move on to prep from there anyway. Girls used to stay to 11 if they did not want to move on to preps at 7, but that may have changed now.

They have really good links to local prep schools.

Only one point - some parents have been dissatisfied because the school will not just roll over to parents opinions if they don't think it is in the interests of the child. Some parents think because they are paying they have the right to dictate everything about the school. That attitude does not go down well here and if that is your approach you will not be happy.
