Come talk to me about St Margarets

We are thinking of moving there when DC2 is born later this year. Moving from a totally different area, in North East London, but equally child friendly and 'villagey'.
We just want somewhere cleaner, safer and greener to bring up our small children, and it is really close to DH work as opposed to his hideous commute at the mo.
So tell me all about it - warts and all! Important things in life are schools (of course), parks and green space, good food (especially Sat night takeaways!), and friendly like-minded folk

Hello

Sorry you didn't get any replies. I don't know St Mags that well but have loved it when I've been. It does have a some lovely shops, play areas and a nice small community feel about the place.

Feel free to join chat if you want more info and would like to meet other mums in the area. I'm in Teddington so not far from you

Hi there

Have lived in St margarets for about 4 1/2 years now have a 14mth old son. We love it here. Close to some lovely green spaces, Richmond Rk, Marble hill Park and Moormead to name a few. There are quite a few baby/toddler groups including a gymboree, cheeky monkey's at St Stephens church and Tiny Tunes in Twickneham - there's probably loads more! Your close enough to walk into Richmond for a wander round the shops or a short drive to Kingston for even more shopping!

Hope this helps :-)

St Margarets is gorgeous and I would love to live there myself (currently in Richmond/Sheen). It's a very friendly place, the schools are good and there are tons of parks and nice places to go. You can get into central London pretty easily and you are also close to lots of other nice places (Richmond, Teddington, Twickenham etc). I would highly recommend it.
