hi, im looking for mother and baby groups in the s8 area, or even anyone who wants to be my friend, haha!! ds1 is 4 and ds2 is 3 months, I have lots of friends but not many with children so I need people who are interested in the same things as me, !! thought a mother and baby group would be a good start, I have moved since I went to one with ds1 and can't find any round here, im quite shy as well so find it difficult to jon this kind of thing

hello, can't advise on S8 baby groups sorry but wanted to say hi. There are quite a lot of Sheffield mums - we've been discussing having a meet-up and then it goes cold again. I guess we really need to sort something.

I know of some good baby groups but they're in S10

Hi, if you email Sheffield Information Link they will send you a PDF of all the groups. I think a lot of them are toddler ones but there is usually a baby space too. Off the top of my head there is Peekaboo in Norton on Wednesdays, a group at Beauchief Baptist Church on Hutcliffe Wood Road on Thursdays and St Chad's on Abbey Lane does a popular group twice a week. There are several sessions at Greenhill Methodist Church but a long waiting list. I went for a bit with DD and found it nice but a bit cliquey. There is something in Meersbrook Park Pavillion too but don't know any details. All of the above are toddler-oriented but I found it worth going anyway as your baby will soon be interested in toys and it gets you meeting other mums. If you are bf then there is a baby cafe/mum and baby group at Chancet Wood Children's Centre Tuesdays too. Sorry, bit vague on all the details - past that stage but you will get the gen from SIL

Hi hun, there are 2 that i go to. one is Peekaboo at St Paul's Church on Norton Lees Lane. on every wednesday from 10am-12pm in term time. The mum that runs it is Tina give her a call on 2586782to make sure there are spaces. It's a very friendly group, with a good mix of new mums and mums with toddlers.
the other is at the pavillion building inside Meesbrook Park (bottom end). this runs everyday I think from 9am-11am, this one is run by volunteer mums so not sure if it's on during term time. good luck
