Cudmore Grove meet?

I know we tried this last year and it didn't work, but now the sun is out I was thinking we could arrange a lovely day at Cudmore Grove, Mersea for us all to get together. I have a bucket BBQ and a gazeebo, so we could shelter from the sun and cook ourselves some warm lunch.

How about looking at some dates in late May early June. Any preference on days???

Great idea Mung - maybe i wont be the only one who turns up this time (we had a lovely time anyway but it will be better with all the MN crowd!

I have taken the boy out of nursery so now we are footloose and fancy free apart from Mondays and Fridays.

Im trying to think what we have that we could bring..... a ball??? blankets? a baby? hmmm. I will think some more.

Anyone else?

It sounds like a lovely day out but I think it is about an hour away from me so depending on what time you are meeting, etc will depend on whether I can make it after pre-school pick up. I will keep an eye on the discussion to see what date you go for, etc and see if I can make it.

Sounds fun - although dd1 would never forgive me Thursday in half-term would mean she could come along though. That's the 3rd of June. Can't do any other day that week though.

me too! I usually meet my nct friends on a thursday - would it be ok if i asked if they wanted to join us? Theres only three of them plus assorted children of course.

Go for it Pooter...I was thinking of asking a couple of potential new Mumsnetters. Would be great to meet you Charlielouie.
I'll bring a gazeebo (unless anyone has a pop up one and could bring that) a bucket BBQ and some charcoal. Then we can cook food if we want. If anyone has another BBQ then that would be great for us veggies, but if not we can cook our food first and then the carnivores can cook afterwards.

I'll aim to get there for 10.30, although I always seem to be late these days . I'll bring any outdoor toys I can fit in the boot to keep the children occupied.

Does anyone need a lift?

According to the Met Office the weather will be good on Thursday but just in case shall we have a back up plan (so we dont leave Pooter there on her own again like last year)?
How about we check on here Thursday morning. If the weather is bad and its not on then come to mine for the morning instead. I'll try and post before 9am.

I'm not going to be able to make it either, unfortunately. My sister had a horrible bicycle accident and came off and hit her face, so she has decamped to mine. Have a lovely day guys and look forward to meeting up next time.
